Cookie Policy

Effective date: March 30, 2026 · Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Reinx, Inc. (“Reinx,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit or interact with our website at reinx.ai, our web dashboard at app.reinx.ai, and our related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which provides further detail on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By continuing to use our Services, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy, subject to your cookie preference settings.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide information to site owners, and enable certain features and functionality.

Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting (“first-party cookies”) or by third parties whose services are integrated into the website (“third-party cookies”). Cookies may persist on your device for different durations: “session cookies” are deleted when you close your browser, while “persistent cookies” remain on your device until they expire or you manually delete them.

3. Other tracking technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use the following similar technologies:

  • Local storage (HTML5): Provides functionality similar to cookies but can store larger amounts of data on your device outside your browser. Used by our web dashboard for performance optimisation and user preferences.
  • Web beacons (pixel tags): Small, transparent image files embedded in web pages or emails that allow us to track whether a page was visited or an email was opened, and to measure engagement with our content.
  • Device fingerprinting: Collection of limited device-level information (browser type, screen resolution, installed plugins) through third-party security tools for fraud prevention and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance purposes only.

Throughout this policy, references to “cookies” include these similar technologies unless the context requires otherwise.

We classify the cookies used on our Services into the following categories:

4.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of our Services. They enable core functionality such as account authentication, session management, security features, and access to secure areas of the platform. Without these cookies, the Services cannot function properly. These cookies cannot be disabled.

4.2 Functional cookies

Reinx uses local storage for preferences you choose, including documentation and dashboard themes, sidebar state, and whether you have seen a first-run Assistant indicator. This storage is created through your direct use of those features and is not used for cross-site tracking.

4.3 Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Services by collecting information about pages visited, features used, user flows, and engagement patterns. This data is used to improve our platform, fix issues, and make informed product decisions. After consent, analytics and client exception capture are provided by PostHog US Cloud through a first-party Reinx ingestion proxy. PostHog is not initialized before analytics consent is granted.

4.4 Marketing and advertising cookies

Reinx does not currently initialize Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or another advertising tracker on the marketing site. If we introduce advertising cookies, this policy and the consent controls will be updated before they are enabled.

5.1 Consent banner

When you first visit our Services, you will see a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time through our Cookie Consent Manager, accessible via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of our website and dashboard.

5.2 Your cookie choices

  • Cookie Consent Manager: Use our built-in Cookie Consent Manager to enable or disable analytics. Strictly necessary storage cannot be disabled because it is required to remember your choice and operate authenticated services.
  • Browser settings: Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or delete cookies when you close your browser.
  • Analytics opt-out: You can opt out through Cookie Settings at any time. Reinx also respects the browser “Do Not Track” signal and Global Privacy Control for analytics.

Clearing local storage may reset your consent, theme, sidebar, and other local preferences.

5.3 Do Not Track

Our Services respect the “Do Not Track” (DNT) browser signal and Global Privacy Control. When either is enabled, PostHog analytics is not initialized even if a previously saved preference allowed analytics. Strictly necessary and user-selected local preferences continue to operate.

6. Third-party cookies

Some cookies on our Services are set by third-party service providers. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review:

Reinx does not control the cookies set by third parties and is not responsible for their use of the information collected. We select third-party providers who demonstrate commitment to data privacy and security.

7. Data collected through cookies

The information collected through cookies may include:

  • IP address and general location (city/country level)
  • Browser type, version, and language
  • Operating system and device type
  • Screen resolution and viewport size
  • Referring URL and pages visited
  • Time spent on pages and features used
  • Clicks, scrolls, and interaction patterns
  • Authentication status and session data

This information is used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Cookie data collected for analytics is aggregated and does not directly identify you unless combined with your account information for the purpose of improving your experience.

8. International users and GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, additional rights apply under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent legislation:

  • We will not set non-essential cookies without your prior, explicit consent
  • Consent is obtained through our Cookie Consent Manager, which provides clear information about each cookie category
  • You may withdraw consent at any time through the Cookie Consent Manager without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
  • Strictly necessary cookies are processed under the legal basis of legitimate interest (they are required for the Services to function)
  • You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority regarding our cookie practices

For California residents, information about our use of cookies in the context of the CCPA/CPRA is available in our Privacy Policy. We do not “sell” or “share” (as defined by the CCPA) personal information collected through cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising.

9. Cookie retention

Cookie retention periods vary by type and purpose:

  • Session cookies: Deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Short-term persistent: Typically 24 hours to 90 days. Used for analytics events.
  • Long-term persistent: Up to 1–2 years. Used for preferences, consent records, and returning visitor identification.

You can delete all cookies at any time through your browser settings. Deleting cookies will reset your preferences and may require you to log in again.

10. Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the cookies we use, or applicable regulations. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy, notify you through a revised consent banner on your next visit, and where required, obtain fresh consent for new cookie categories.

We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically.
